Our Services

  • Although predominately working within the Aquaculture Sector we also continue to provide a professional and efficient project management and consultancy service for engineering and construction projects across all industries.

The team has vast experience within the engineering sector, ensuring we can deliver a wide range of multi-disciplinary projects. This can include managing the design, procurement, and construction of projects, from minor works to large and complex projects valued at more than £50m, primarily in the aquaculture, industrial, marine and civils sectors.

We are familiar with delivering projects on behalf of charities and community groups, working on grant funded projects (including grant applications and claims administration), and undertaking procurement in compliance with public sector guidance. The team have experience in leading these projects from concept through the grant funding process to on site delivery of a capital build.

  • We provide consultancy support on business strategy for several organisations, from community and third-sector enterprises, Scottish micro-enterprises and SMEs to large multi-national and global organisations, encompassing business development/sales and marketing, procurement, business strategy and business planning.

We also provide strategic brand and marketing advice to our clients, often assisting in developing a concept and direction or an idea for a specific event.

We are ideally placed to provide a diverse range of services to help our clients secure new opportunities and drive business improvement in the food and manufacturing sector.

We have an extensive network of contacts throughout the value chain including supply chain, producers, processors, retailers, regulators, government bodies and NGOs. Our team has over 25 years combined experience working in the aquaculture industry, both in previous employment and with Northern Light.

  • Our team has an extensive range of experience in the Blue Economy, ranging from securing grant funding to end-to-end project management of innovative solutions to the industry.

We provide a variety of innovation support services to start-ups and early-stage companies, primarily around business planning, research and development projects and the commercialisation of new products to market.

Within the aquaculture sector there is a wealth of opportunities for Scottish SME’s throughout the full value chain due to the continued growth of the Blue Economy. Scotland leads by example in this field, with excellence in sustainability and ambitious plans for growth. We are in an ideal position to nurture and support the growth in this sector. We are helping our clients to deliver new products, enter new markets and add value to their existing business, with the potential to generate substantial increases in sales and profit.

Currently we are working with four long-terms clients in this field and have secured over £2.3m in funding for them to support R&D and innovation.

We have delivered innovation support workshops and other targeted interventions on behalf of Scottish Enterprise.
