End of Summer Update

Summer (can it really be called that this year?!?!) is always a busy time for us with the juggle of holidays and important deadlines to balance 😊

Works at Blar Mhor has been proceeding well with the new Bin Wash for Packaging Solutions Scotland progressing well.  On this project we have designed and tendered all work packages and managed and supervised the contractors on site.

Meanwhile for MOWI, the expansion of the Blar Mhor primary processing plant continues towards another important milestone with the refurbished former processing hall due to be handed over in October.

This summer also included a trip to France to provide technical support for a proposed freshwater hatchery site.

Caol Local Place Plan has been progressing well with lots of interesting insights from the community on what they believe is lacking and what is been done successfully. We are now in the process of closing off the report with an action plan to be reviewed by the community.

We are pleased to report that the stage 1 Building Warrant application has been submitted for Cooke’s new RAS smolt unit at Cairndow, where we have been managing the design and budget costing for the development.

A few weeks ago we bid farewell to Shona who has now joined the Highland Council Roads Team as a Senior Road’s  Engineer – we will miss you!!!

At present, we are currently hiring for a Graduate Engineer to join the team – for more info please follow this link: https://hijobs.net/job/313795/graduate-project-engineer

Sarah had her fundraising hat back on over the summer and raised a fantastic £1250 for the Highland Hospice by running the Nairn half marathon – amazing!!

We were delighted to have funding success on two projects in this next round of MFS, totalling nearly £1million! We look forward to supporting our clients on them over the next few months!
