Spring has sprung!

As we enter the much needed, brighter evenings, goings on at Northern Light has been all go!  

In recent weeks we have seen Net Zero Technology Centre – Seaweed Biofuel Project reach completion. This was an exciting project delving into the technical, environmental and commercial viability of utilising seaweed cultivation for biofuel production. We look forward to sharing the results in due course. MOWI Blar Mhor Factory, Aquagen Holywood facility and Landcatch’s Ormsary site continues to progress well.  

New tenders awarded include another exciting Local Place Plan so we look forward to commencing on this work! 

Sarah in her role as chairperson was delighted to attend the West Coast Chamber of Commerce’s recent West Coast Vision Conference. Chamber CEO Frazer Coupland wrote this fantastic piece for the Scotsman, on the eve of the  Conference, drawing attention to all the great business news coming out of the west highlands, and to call for the investment and support we need to deliver on our full potential. This month, we were also delighted to attend the open day of Scale AQ’s new Fort William base. Lots of incredible videos feature on their linked in of their new facility! 

And finally…

Last weekend, the NLC team and some of our valued clients attended and sponsored a table at the annual Lochaber Boxing Home Show. A great night was had by all, showcasing lots of local talent!
